Ratslinger, in answer to your questions: What DB are you using – embedded, split, external? Ownership through a committee of a large number of profit-making companies and others seems to make things more stable as long as it’s possible to pull any errant company back in-line if it fails to implement it as per agreements. BUT it would not even run on my new set-up. Java has almost entirely been written out of LibreOffice but there are still some things that depend on Java.

I even tried to create a new Database which it did OK and then renaming my old file to this name but I still scbc the same error!! I think the result is that it looks like 2 files but works a LOT better. I’ve Googled about this and no sdbc looks as if this is a known current “Bug” that has not been fixed.

Hi, I can only agree with you. Just moved over to my Debian system. The HSqlDb version that is embedded in Base is a no sdbc poor compared to using the proper version of HSqlDb and then use that as a back end with Base as the front-end.
I would LIKE to get away from this but the couple of times I tried in the past were no sdbc complete failure!! I am using embedded DB No changes to No sdbc that I am aware of I can create a new file but when i click on tables thats when i get the error No sdbc will update java and report the result Thanks Q.
